Traditionally, the laboratory develops analytical methods for the determination of traditional pollutants (including PAHs, PCBs, dioxins and furans, pesticides, acrylamide, phthalates, bisphenols) in various matrices (soil, air, water, food, and beverages). Recently, the laboratory has begun to focus on emerging pollutants such as microplastics and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), as well as issues such as indoor/outdoor air quality and energy generation following the green energy transition. In summary, the Group's research topics are as follows: - Development of analytical methods for the determination and health interpretation of traditional pollutants (PAHs, PCBs, dioxins and furans, pesticides, acrylamide, phthalates, bisphenols) in various matrices (soil, air, water, food, beverages) using GC coupled with mass spectrometry, ICP-OES/MS, and electrochemical methods;   - Emerging pollutants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in food and environmental matrices; - Analytical methods for the determination of microplastics and interpretation of their fate in the food chain and related effects on human health; - Study of residential indoor air quality (IAQ) and outdoor air quality status; - The use of emerging biomass in the ecological transition process: characterization and comparison of environmental impacts with traditional and renewable energy sources.
