The bacterial and fungal gut microbiota of the Greater Wax Moth, Galleria mellonella L.

Diversidad bacteriana a nivel de filum (A) y género (B) y fúngica a a nivel de filum (C) y género (D)

We are happy to share this exploration of the Greater Wax Moth microbiome consuming polyethylene and polystyrene in Tucumán, Argentina. We considered both bacteria and fungi; organisms capable of degrading different plastics that could become part of the solution to contribute to the biodegradation of plastics. This was a collaboration between theInstituto de Ecología Regional, PROIMI, Fundación Miguel Lillo, CCT Noa Sur, Facultad de Cs. Nat. e Instituto Miguel Lillo (UNT) and the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
