One year since the consolidation of the Andean Networl of Socio-Ecological Observatories (ROSA).

ROSA is a South-South cooperation network that aims to integrate different socio-ecological monitoring initiatives in observatories to generate information for territorial management. ROSA was established through a participatory process with key representatives from Andean socio-ecosystems in virtual and in-person discussions. A key milestone for its consolidation was a face-to-face workshop held in Tucumán, which brought together 25 participants from more than ten countries, where objectives, structure, challenges, and strategies of the network were discussed and defined. Currently, ROSA has nine nodal observatories along the Andes that integrate more than 50 monitoring initiatives related to hydroclimatic, demographic, ecological, and land use aspects, and it is open to integrate new monitoring initiatives and adding new observatories.
