Project Title. Land use changes in Latin America, teleconnections and the balance among biodiversity, agriculture production and ecosystem services.
Research topic. The posdoc will analyze data on land cover change in Latin America during de 21st century, and will relate them to different data bases (agriculture, biodiversity, productivity, biomass, socioeconomic variables) to assess the association with global drivers of change and with consequences for the balance between agriculture production and conservation of ecosystem services.
Requisites. Doctoral degree in Geography, Economy, Agriculture, Biology, Forestry, Natural resources or equivalent. Familiarity with data bases management, particularly GIS and geospatial data, Statistical analysis in R. Record of publication in international journals. Willingness to interdisciplinary team work around topics of macroeconomy, food security, socioecology, sustentability and resilience.
Location. Instituto de Ecología Regional, Tucumán, Argentina.
